On Friday, May 10, 2019, Park Memorial will host FINDING GRACE IN GRIEF --- a full day of practical grief support featuring several fabulous keynote speakers and a choice of breakout sessions. We are proud to share that most of our facilitators are local caregivers and professionals who are bringing new voices and insights to our grief community. Not only do they ‘talk the talk’, but they ‘walk the walk’ each and every day of both their personal and professional lives. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, you want to help a grieving family member or friend, you are a professional who works with those who are experiencing loss and grief, or you’re a volunteer caregiver --- we hope you will join us for this day of extremely useful and valuable grief support. We know you will find it helpful. As an organization dedicated to helping people who have lost a loved one, Park Memorial hopes that this day of education and inspiration will allow grief and its silence to be broken by the voices and kindness of others on their own grief journeys. Our community is what helps make us strong together. You do not have to walk through this journey alone. We hope you will join us in our community of support and together we will learn about self-care, hope, healing. More info and ticket purchases can be found online at: www.findinggraceingrief.com

Join us for ART FOR THE GRIEVING HEART! Park Memorial is pleased to present this unique monthly event focusing on grief expression through art therapy and informal conversation. This intimate event allows guests to spread their wings and try new things with an art project, then take part in an informal, facilitated grief discussion. We are grateful to have The Art of Cake opening their doors and their divine bakery to our event once again. We are also grateful to have the talent of Deanne Ferguson, Box Social Event Planning, facilitating our craft activity. Our Art for the Grieving Heart events are enjoyed by a sold-out audience, and this was a comment from one of our former guests: "I liked the intimate setting and craft. I liked hearing other people's stories, good conversation, made me feel less alone in my journey. Loved how this event helped many people. Will most definitely love to come back. Thank you again". The event typically flows as follows: - 6:15pm Doors open, sweet treats and warm beverages (included in ticket price) served - 6:30pm Welcome and introductions - 6:40pm Crafting begins - 7:25pm (approx) Discussion begins - 8:30pm Event draws to a close This event is more than an art class; please honour the intention of this event to bring those who are grieving together for an evening of connecting through creativity. All grieving hearts are welcome, no matter the loss being grieved. *** Specific info (dates and activities) and tickets are available through our Facebook page. Please watch it for updates.

Testimonials
Brad Eleniak and the Park Memorial team were unbelievable to work with when we were trying to deal with the loss of both parents within a few weeks of each other. My family and I were pleased and touched by the staff’s level of sincerity, compassion and understanding. They took care of everything and we definitely appreciated what was done for us.
