Books of Condolence at Park Memorial for Canadian Soldiers Killed This Week (Oct. 24)
The public are invited to sign two books of condolence which will be sent to the families of each of the Canadian soldiers who were killed this past week in links to terrorism --- the first, Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, on Monday when a man driving a car hit two members of the Canadian Armed Forces in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, killing Warrant Officer Vincent and injuring the other, and Wednesday as Cpl. Nathan Cirillo was gunned down while standing guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.
The condolence books will be available until Monday, October 27 in the upper mezzanine at Park Memorial Funeral Home, 9709 – 111 Avenue. All those who sign the books are invited to take a black mourning ribbon pin that can be worn to signify the loss.
