Obituary for James Robert Aiken

James Robert Aiken
James Robert Aiken passed away in his home in Edmonton, Alberta on May 28th, 2021, at the age of 60 years.

James is survived by his parents, Mae and Jim Aiken of Burks Falls, Ontario; sisters, Lynne Aiken (Jack MacTaggart) and Joedy Deadman (George). He was a proud uncle to Hannah and Abbey MacTaggart, and Chris and Alex Deadman. He was also “Uncle Jim”, to Joe and Taylor Roulston (Jim’s God Daughter). He will be missed by his beloved dog, Digger.

He was born and raised in Beeton, Ontario then headed west to pursue his dreams. Jim worked as a licensed plumber and gasfitter owning his own business; Aiken’s Plumbing. He loved fishing and watching the Edmonton Eskimos football team.

Jim had a keen interest in finance and enjoyed tinkering and renovating his many residential properties throughout his life. He especially loved spending time at his vacation home in Surprise, Arizona. Jim enjoyed the company of his close friends and family.

The family would like to thank his Caregiver, Raissa and all her amazing Staff for their unwavering support and care throughout Jim’s battle with ALS.

A Memorial Service will be held at Park Memorial Funeral Home, 9709 111 Avenue NW Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday June 10th, 2021, at 10 a.m.
