Condolence From: Jim Touw
Condolence: Condolences to all the Wiznura family. I've been a friend of Mr. Wiznura's son Steve since junior high, and have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Wiznura as Steve's dad, and as a math and home room teacher in high school. Mr. Wiznura was able to manage that tricky balance of being approachable, friendly and funny, while also being an excellent teacher who kept control of his classrooms and was respected by students. He was a big part of what made St. FX a great school to attend, and he will be missed by many.

Condolence: Hello Sandy, Donna, Steve and Robbie and extended family. Norma and Zen were our very good friends especially in the seventies and eighties. Over those years we watched our families grow, supported each other, played and worked together in our West Meadowlark neighbourhood. We played a lot of cards, worked hard at community events--I remember the Bingos every 13 days! I have so many fond and loving memories of those wonderful years. Your mom was such a classy lady. I remember Zen paid you mom that compliment in conversation once and I totally agreed. She also had this great sense of humour. She and I enjoyed many a chuckle. Zen was very kind and had a strong sense of right and wrong. Gordon and he often got into long conversations about life. I have so many memories of working with him at community events and at Klondike Days where we teachers earned enough money to go on a family holiday. They even ventured to my dad's summer home in Sask. one summer and enjoyed a canoe trip down the Qu'Appelle River. My condolences to all of you. I will cherish their memories.

Condolence: Condolences to all the Wiznura family. Your dad was the best. A mentor of mine when I started teaching at FX. Such a hard worker at the school. Definitely one who contributed much to staff and students and helped make FX such a great school and place to teach. Bob and Mary kochorek.

Condolence From: Rick Goulet and family
Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Rob and Virginia, their kids and all the Wiznura family. "Mr. Wiznura" was always so welcoming both in the classroom and at his home. He always took an interest in whatever you were doing and I know he was a favorite teacher to many at St. F.X.

May he be at rest now, reunited with his wife, and held dear in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him. He touched many with his wit, good humour and generous heart.

With our deepest sympathies,
Rick, Carla, Luana and Jordana Soares Goulet

Condolence From: Cathy Lewis
Condolence: Dear Sandy, Donna, Steve and Rob,
I am so sad to hear about your dad. He was such a great person. He was a second dad to me when I was a crazy teenager and really needed an extra one, and I was especially blessed to have one as special as him.

He and your mom always welcomed us at your place (Sandy's friends, but I'm sure it was true for all the kid's friends). They really paid attention and listened to us, that's what I always appreciated about both of them. Even though they made a great sport out of teasing us, your house was still a great after school home!

Your dad's presence made St. F. X. a better place for kids, as he was a safe, secure adult for a lot of us. I loved how he stayed busy in retirement and never stopped contributing to making the world a better place (for birds and people).

Very sorry I can't be there for his memorial to hear the stories, but I'll see you soon after, Sandy!
Lots of love,
Cathy Lewis (aka Alice at your house)
