Christine and Family, although you do not know me, I knew Gene quite well as he always attended the Aboriginal History Quiz at Prince Charles School when I was a teacher.
I was out of the country when I heard of his passing and it generated such sadness for me as he always acknowledged me and the students at the school. When I retired, he gave me a special plaque from the Alberta Legislature as well as a phone call. I would like to talk to you and can be reached at 780-459-9775 or via e-mail at pobox8995@gmail.com

Dear Christine and Family,
I was recently speaking with Colleen Soetaert and learned the sad news of Gene's passing. My heart goes out to you. I know what a huge hole it leaves, when you lose such a talented man, who is larger than life. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you walk this difficult journey of grief. Barb Bracko

Christine and family, I am deeply saddened by the death of Gene. We were colleagues in the promotion of multiculturalism in the province. He was a kind and gracious individual with a wonderful spirit. He will be missed. Take comfort in the memories you shared and his love for all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Deepest heartfelt condolences to Christine Zwozdesky, children, mother Anna, all family and friends upon the passing of our dear Gene Zwozdesky. I have great memories of my time in High School being in Mr Zwozdeskys music class, in band and participating in the most fun musical and theatrical performances. Those were such treasured times of our lives! Thank you Gene for everything! You were a great teacher and a kind, generous friend . I shall remember you with gratitude for always!
