Obituary for Olga Mary Drobot (Repihowsky)

Olga Mary Drobot (Repihowsky)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olga Mary Drobot of Edmonton at the age of 85 years.
Olga is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Vera; her dear son, Walter (Ann); beloved grandsons, Alan and Brian; loving nephew, Willy (Helen) and their children, Evan, Amy and Ashley. She also leaves to mourn her loss her dear friends, Glenn and Christine Stadnyk and their children, Sasha, Nicole, Cody and Jayme; and close friends, Harvey and Kathy Grabill. Predeceased by her husband, Mike Drobot and parents, Joseph and Kassy Repihowsky.
Olga was a loving, generous and talented woman. She was born on a farm near Lindbergh, Alberta and was always very proud of her roots in Ukraine and rural Alberta. After moving from the farm to Edmonton in 1952, Olga and Mike worked hard to give their children a good life. In her later years, she and Mike enjoyed travelling and spending time with friends. Mom was a wonderful cook, talented artist, enthusiastic crib player and great storyteller who kept her sense of humour right into her last days. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Prayer Service Sunday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 10825 – 97 Street.
Divine Liturgy Monday, August 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral with Reverend William Hupalo officiating. Interment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice.
