WHAT'S NEW... The Memorial Candle Program Helping Our Families Honour a Life Lived Since its inception in September 2007, the Memorial Candle program is proving to be a huge success! As a family member or friend experiencing a recent loss, we know you are looking for meaningful and personal ways to share the memory of a loved one. This program is an innovative way for the entire family to share a tribute across the miles and across generations. Visit the Book of Memories for your deceased loved one on our "Online Condolences" pages. You may choose to light a candle in memory of your loved for a 3-year, 1-year, or 3-month period. You can even include a short personalized message. Giving Back to Charity In addition to helping maintain the costs of website hosting and keeping the memorial candles lit, part of the proceeds from this program go back to charity. Over $5,000 has been generated and provided to various charities through our website host since September 2007.

Touch Screen Kiosk When visiting our Edmonton location, please spend a moment in our lobby and try our touch screen information kiosk. The kiosk provides easy-to-learn information about the choices available when planning a funeral. You will be provided ideas on how to personalize a service, you can observe the value differences between casket types, and find out more about all the different merchandise (urns and cremation jewellery) that is available to you.
Batesville Living Memorial Tree Program Did you know that your casket purchase could generate a tree planted in memory of your loved one?
Batesville supplies Park Memorial with caskets, urns and keepsake jewellery. We are pleased that they are able to give back to the community by planting trees in designated tree parks across the province. Depending on the product you choose, you may be eligible to have a tree planted in memory of your loved one.
In 2007, 14 Alberta elementary schools participated in the
Living Memorial plantings. Of these 14, the largest planting project took place
at Bisset Elementary School in Edmonton. In total, 1639 trees were planted in
Alberta throughout 2007.

Cremation Jewellery Buying a piece of jewellery is another special way to always hold your loved one close to you. All pieces are designed to securely hold the tiniest portion of cremated remains, earth from the burial plot, or a dried flower petal.
Park Memorial has necklaces and bracelets in silver and gold, on which pendants and lockets of many different shapes and designs can be placed. Please inquire about our selection.
