Obituary for Nadia Nykolyn

On October 20, 2017, Mrs. Nadia Nykolyn passed away peacefully at the age of 93 years.
Nadia is survived by her loving family; son, Daniel Nykolyn (Karen Roebuck); daughter, Tricia Nykolyn (Mark Bennett); son-in-law, Gordon Scade; five grandchildren, Shaun Scade, Tara Feser, Kristina Scade, Alexa Morency and Jack Bennett; and three great-grandchildren, Neko, Ari and Daelen. Predeceased by her husband, Alex Nykolyn; and daughter, Beverly Scade.
Special thanks to the staff of Touchmark at Wedgewood Long Term Care Centre for their care - in particular, Ligaya.
Prayer Service Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 10951 – 107 Street, Edmonton.
Funeral Rite Wednesday, October 25 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. Very Reverend Cornell Zubritsky officiating with interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, Alberta Branch, 10611 – 110 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 1H7.
