Obituary for William Hook

With Mom looking down, The Lord opened up His arms early Monday, May 29, 2017 morning to a brilliant sunrise and welcomed William as His Angel at the age of 89 years. William is remembered by his loving family, sons Perry (Dawn), Blaine (Joann); daughters, Shannon (Ron) Schadeck and LeAnn (Tom) Whaling; blessed with seven grandchildren, Michael (Lacey), Rebecca (Andrew), Kristina, Stephen, Connor, Vanessa and Dawson; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Cohene; grand-dogs, Bear, Coco and Austin; and grand-horses, Rosie and Toby. He also leaves to cherish his memory brothers, Alex (Freida) Hook, Larry (Jean) Hook; sisters, Betty (Bob) Papley and Steffie (Freddie) Homeniuk; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. William was predeceased by his wife, Frances; granddaughter, Kayla; parents, Mary and Mike; brothers, George and Ralph; sisters, Helen and Millie; brother in-laws, Andrew, Mike, Wasyl, Fred, John, Pete and Walter; sister-in-laws, Anne and Heather. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to our extended family and for all their support during this time. To Dr. David Smyth, Janice, Julie, Lynn, Oakley, Karli and all the staff members of Unit 21 and 22 at the Leduc Hospital for their compassion.
Prayer Service Thursday, June 1 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 7007 – 109 Street, Edmonton.
Divine Liturgy Friday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, c/o Youth Summer Camps, 7007 – 109 Street, Edmonton, AB T6H 3B9.
