It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Iftody on December 12, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 68. A devoted father, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend, John will be lovingly remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, quick wit, tender heart, and generous soul.
John was predeceased by his father, Nick, and mother, Mary; brothers, Mitch, Eugene, Con, Edward and Peter; and sisters, Virginia Cheuden and June Morris. John will be deeply missed by his daughter, Tammy; his brother, Steve (Michelle) Iftody; and sisters, Doris Semotiuk, Rose Cowan, Kay Duffy, Helen (Cal) Hunter, Jeannette Blythe, Judy Iftody and Katie (Marvin) Boe. Uncle John will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and extended family, Matt, Kristie, Jaxon and Sadie Siminiuk; Trisha, Jannes, Noah and Taia Freerksen; and special friend, “Juice”.
The family finds solace in knowing that many people were touched by John Iftody’s generous spirit and we hope that you will join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Vegreville Social Centre, 4802-47 Street, Vegreville. Memorial donations may be made to SPCA or Canadian Cancer Society.
