CLOTHING FOR THE DECEASED

It is common to use a full set of clothing that best represents the deceased in life, and should be as the way he/she would dress to attend daily activities. Style may be formal or casual based on preference. For men and ladies, complete undergarments are recommended (shorts, socks, underwear/bra, panties, stockings, etc.). Shoes or slippers are optional; however, they are used in the majority of cases.

Jewellery, if non-valuable, is acceptable (non-valuable referring to cost as opposed to sentimental value). We recommend that valuable jewellery be retained and passed along to immediate family members as a lasting memento of the deceased. Glasses, (not contacts or reading glasses), if worn constantly during the day, are an integral part of a person's appearance and should be considered to allow the deceased to appear more natural.
